What kind of equipment do I require to perform the screen printing?

In order to begin the screen printing process, you need to know what is required to get started. In this article, we will discuss the minimum required items you would need to get the t-shirt with the best print.

Screen Printing Press

The main thing on your rundown will be a screenprint machine. And you should buy the actual press instead of the hinge clams as it makes the printing work easier.

You will require a PC with vector software. In many printing processes, including screen printing, you require Adobe Illustrator and Corel to get along with the printing process. The computer supports this software, that’s why we have kept it on the list.

Films Positives

Once the artwork is finalized, the design needs to be separated into various layers, each with one design color. Every layer is converted then into black to create a film positive, which will be your design, in black or on a clear film.

Mesh Screen

Mesh screens are one of the vital tools you would require in the screen printing process. Place the film positive on the mesh screen and then coat it with emulsion. An emulsion is light-sensitive. Once it is exposed to the UV light it creates the stencils.

Now you have got the ink, your press, and your screen. The next step is to press the layer of ink into the screen from a squeegee. The squeegee is pulled over across the entire screen and makes sure the ink is evenly distributed.

Flash Cure Unit

In screen printing, the designs are commonly flash dried between each layer of ink. Flash cure unit is an infrared heater under which the t-shirt is kept for the moment before the next layer of ink is pressed on the material.

Belt Dryer

The process of the screen printing ends on the belt dryer. The belt dryer comes in various sizes but all use the same temperature gauges for each tee. After the flash drying process, the tees then are rolled over the conveyor belt heated to 380 degrees to give the tee a final shape and will share the quality of the design.
