Duplex printing refers to the technique in which the printer supports printing on both sides of the paper. The printer that prints only a single side of the paper is known as a simplex printer.
How does it work?
Duplex printing can be done in two ways and it depends upon whether your duplexer has one or two print engines. If you have a single-engine duplexer, then it will print only a single page and then flips over and prints on the other side.
If you have a double-engine duplexer, then both the pages are printed simultaneously. In this method, the conductor belt generates an image of both sides of the print job utilizing the data received from your PC.
