What is Laser and Traditional Engraving?

Traditional Engraving

Engraving is the method in which the designs are created on a hard surface such as wood or metal by cutting. This process is often used for creating decorative objects from materials such as silver, gold, glass, and steel. Engraving and Rotogravure are the two most common printing methods of intaglio printing.

Laser Engraving

Laser engraving is the technique wherein the lasers act as a chisel by eliminating undesirable elements from the surface of the material. The laser beam converts the material into fumes. The laser beam must hit the unwanted parts of the material with high energy to generate the high heat for vaporization.
