Plenty of screen printing methods are available in the market to apply a print on your T-shirt. There are different outcomes of the different methods. So it becomes important to know the different types of screen printing.
Halftone Printing
In halftone printing, mostly single or multi-color are used in gradients. For example, you can take a single color or design to make it appear in 2 different shades. Halftone printing is good to create a multi-color look without actually doing it.
CMYK Printing
The CMYK process is one of the most intricate printing processes in the screen printing and should be done on automatic presses. One can also do it manually but for the optimum result, the automatic press is preferred.
Here, a full-colored photograph is taken and broke it down to 4 different constituents: Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. This printing process creates the full tonal and color range of the original image by combining these four colors.
Spot Color Printing
Spot color printing is one of the most common types of t-shirt screen printing. This uses the stock of ink by printing it through the stencil of the screen mesh. This generally produces dynamic color spots with the thicker layer depending upon the ink and mesh count is used.
It is a suitable way to create artwork when printing one-four colors.
Duotone Printing
Duotone printing uses a mixture of 2 halftones for the same image or design printed with 2 different colors. Two halftones create the duotone print when the first color combines with the second color which contains the color hue of a second color halftone.
The selected screen printing method has a direct effect on the quality of materials you want to print. Due to this reason, the selection of the ideal method is necessary. Points like quantity to print, design to print, budget, and availability of resources must look upon before making any decision.
