If the deleted category has a parent category then the artworks will be automatically assigned to the parent category. But, if the deleted category is itself a parent category or does not have any parent category, then the artwork will be assigned to the default “Unassigned Artworks” category.
On frontend, “Unassigned Artworks” category will not be displayed.
