With the purchase of the Quote management add-on you get to add the quotes and their categories which would be visible on your front-end store. You can navigate to the settings related to the quotes management by going to the dashboard and in the left panel go to the Product Designer section and you’ll find “Manage Quotes categories” well as “Manage Quotes” options.
Using this add-on you can manage two things.
- Quotes Categories Management
- From this section you can add, remove, enable and disable the quotes categories.
- Navigate to Product Designer > click on Manage quotes categories and the following page will open.
- Here all the categories that you add will be listed.
- To delete any category select the checkbox in front of those categories and from the Actions tab select “Delete”.
How to add a New category.
- On the Quotes category page click on the “Add quote category” option. It will redirect you to the following page:
- Here add the “category name”
- Add the store views. Select all the stores/websites you want this category to be visible.
- Root category and Sub-category
To assign a new category as root category: If you want to add this category as root category then click on the “assign root category” checkbox. As soon as you click on the checkbox the next option “category” will be disabled.
To assign a new category as sub-category: In order to assign the new category as a sub-category do not select on the “assign root category” checkbox. After that add the category under which you want to assign this new category. You can follow and assign the hierarchy upto 3 levels only.
- Lastly, add the status of the category whether you want to enable it yet or keep it disabled.
- Once all this information is filled click on the “Save quote category” button. And your category will be listed in the Quotes category page.
After adding the categories the next step would be of adding the quotes and assigning these categories to them.
- Quotes management

- Navigate to Product Designer > Click on Manage quotes and the following page will open.
- Here all the quotes that you have added will be listed.
- To delete any quote select the checkbox in front of those categories and from the Actions tab select “Delete”.
How to add a New quote.
- On the Manage Quotes page click on the “Add quote” option. It will redirect you to the following page:
- Type the entire quote that you want to add in the quotes text box.
- Select a category from the category dropdown list. Here all the categories and subcategories that you have added will be listed. Assign the category.
- Lastly, add the status of the quotes whether you want to enable it yet or keep it disabled.
- Once all this information is filled click on the “Save quote” button. And your quote will be listed in the Manage Quotes page.
