Material and Finish Store Configuration

Navigate to Store > Configuration > Dieline.

 

In this section, the admin must enter the API URL and Access Token for the Dieline API. These details are required to establish a secure connection between the store and the Dieline service.

 

Once the API details are configured, the admin can click Fetch Material Data to import available material options from the Dieline API. These materials will be stored in the Material module of the Product Designer and can later be used by end users while customizing products.

 

Similarly, the admin can click Fetch Finishing Data to import finishing options from the Dieline API. The fetched finishing data will be stored in the Finishing module of the Product Designer.[1]

Dieline Product Designer Settings

After adding the Simple Product the admin Navigate to Product Designer Settings for the Dieline product.

 

To configure the Product Designer settings, first enable the Product Designer by setting the Enable Product Designer toggle to Yes.

 

Now select the Designer Type as 3D Products from the Designer Type dropdown menu to configure the 3D Product Designer Settings.[1]

Now, navigate to the 3D Products section and set the AR toggle to Yes to enable Augmented Reality in the designer tool.

 

Select Dieline Custom from the Select 3D Type dropdown menu to create Custom Size Dieline Product. This setting allows users to design the product more efficiently.[1]

 

After selecting the 3D type, select the Measurement Unit for custom size dieline measurement. Choose the desired unit from the Unit dropdown. The available options are MM and Inch.

 

The admin needs to upload the Custom Dieline file. To upload, click the Upload button beside the File Upload field. Only .EVD and EVR files are accepted.[2]

 

The Dieline Dimension fields Label, Min, Max, and Default will be auto-filled based on the uploaded dieline file.

 

Next, enter the Height and Width for the sheet size. These values will define the sheet size in the tool.[3]

 

Now, select the Finishes from the finish dropdown. These finishes are for view-only purposes.

 

Enter the Side Names. The admin must ensure that each Image Side Name matches the corresponding image side name in the EVR or EVD file exactly.

 

The admin can also add Tier Margins by configuring the Qty and setting the Margin Multiplier. Multiple rows can be added as needed.

 

After all the configurations click on Save button to save the settings.[4]

Designer Tool

The end user can change the Length, Width, and Height from the Size section. Enter the required values and click the Apply button to apply the changes.

 

The user can also change the Material and Printing Side from the respective dropdowns located in the Product tab.[1]

 

To configure the other sides, the user can switch between sides using the Sides button located at the bottom of the canvas. This allows the user to design the box from every side.[2]

 

The end user can view and interact with the Live 3D Product Preview in the floating 3D Preview window. They can also minimize or maximize the preview window as needed and play the box close animation using the play pause button or can use the next and previous button to view step by step close animation. To reset the animation click on the rest button located in the Preview box.[3]

 

To view the full preview, the admin must navigate to the Preview section. From there, the admin can switch between the 2D Preview and 3D Preview modes and play the box close animation using the play pause button or can use the next and previous button to view step by step close animation. To reset the animation click on the rest button located in the Preview box.[4]
